The Terrogram collective has been designated as a terrorist organization, effective today, making it illegal to be affiliated with the group or to solicit support for it.

This decision follows Parliament's approval of a draft order laid out on April 22, 2024.

Under this order, belonging to the Terrogram collective or advocating for its cause is considered a criminal offense. Offenders could face a maximum prison sentence of 14 years, which may be imposed alongside or instead of a fine.

Additionally, Section 58 of the order criminalizes the collection or possession of information likely to be used in acts of terrorism. This includes accessing documents or records containing such information.

With this designation, the Terrorgram collective joins the list of proscribed organizations in the UK, which now includes a total of 80 entities. Photo by UK Parliament, Wikimedia commons.
