British Queen celebrates

Amutri, a specialized startup from Falmouth University, has secured a substantial grant of £492,000 from Innovate UK.

Amutri specializes in streamlining the 3D visualization process for designers and organizations, aiming to save time, cut costs, and attract more clients.

This Smart Grant award will support Amutri in a 12-month industrial research project to develop an innovative immersive 3D visualization product. This groundbreaking platform will offer an accessible entry point and user-friendly interface, transforming Computer-aided design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) files into instantly usable digital assets and 3D experiences.

The grant, provided by Innovate UK, is dedicated to businesses that deliver disruptive or ambitious innovations capable of making a significant impact on both the UK economy and beyond.

Prior to establishing Amutri, CEO Michael Calver had spent over two decades pioneering advanced 3D Visualization and Simulation technologies. His innovative approach involved integrating gaming technologies into non-gaming applications across various industries.

Mr. Calver expressed excitement about securing the Innovate UK grant, highlighting the surging demand for interactive 3D experiences. He acknowledged that the current challenge for companies lies in the complex, time-consuming, and expensive process of 3D content creation. Amutri aims to eliminate these barriers and substantially lower the entry point to 3D Visualization technology.

This grant comes as a significant boost to Amutri's mission, and the company's efforts align with the broader industry trend towards more immersive and accessible 3D visualization experiences.
