Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy met with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in London on Monday, where the two leaders unveiled a new defence co-production agreement aimed at
bolstering Ukraine’s fight against Russian aggression.
The announcement took place in the garden of Starmer’s official Downing Street residence, where the pair also greeted Ukrainian soldiers currently receiving training in the UK.
“This afternoon, we are proud to launch an industrial military co-production agreement—the first of its kind between Ukraine and the UK,” said Starmer. “It represents a major step forward in the support we can continue to offer.”
While specific details of the deal were not disclosed, Zelenskiy emphasized that the partnership would strengthen both countries. He also expressed gratitude to Britain for its ongoing assistance in Ukraine’s war effort.
Earlier in the day, Zelenskiy met King Charles at Windsor Castle—their third meeting this year—as part of a continued show of British solidarity with Ukraine.
