British Queen celebrates

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, has landed in London to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games but will not be meeting with his father, King Charles III,

confirmed ABC News.

According to a spokesperson for the duke, Prince Charles's schedule does not permit a meeting with his younger son, who currently resides in the United States.

"Unfortunately, it will not be feasible due to His Majesty's packed agenda," stated the spokesperson regarding the possibility of a rendezvous between Harry and Charles. "The Duke understands his father's busy schedule and various other commitments and hopes for a future meeting."

The last time Prince Harry and King Charles saw each other was in February, when Harry traveled to London upon learning of Charles's cancer diagnosis, which the palace disclosed publicly.

During his February visit, Harry reportedly spent less than an hour with his father before departing the next day. Despite this brief encounter, Harry expressed hopes of seeing Charles again soon during an interview with ABC News' Will Reeve.

While in London, Harry did not meet with his older brother, Prince William, raising speculation about their strained relationship and whether they will cross paths during Harry's current visit.

Both Buckingham and Kensington Palaces declined to comment on potential meetings between the brothers.

Prior to February, Prince Harry had not seen his 75-year-old father since Charles's coronation in May of the previous year.

Accompanied by his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, and their children, Archie and Lilibet, Prince Harry is traveling solo on this trip to London.

Prince Harry's itinerary includes attending a Thanksgiving service at St. Paul's Cathedral on May 8 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, a sporting event for wounded service members that he initiated in 2014.

The Invictus Games, inspired by the U.S. Department of Defense's Warrior Games, were launched by Prince Harry in London in 2014 and have since been hosted in various cities worldwide.

Following his visit to London, Prince Harry will travel to Nigeria, where he will be joined by Meghan. The couple has been invited by Nigeria's Chief of Defense Staff for a visit to the African country. Photo by Minerva97, Wikimedia commons.
