British Queen celebrates

Following a successful year working with Tooting and Balham Sea Cadets, Sainsbury’s Nine Elms is now pleased to reveal their new charity partner for 2018.

Over two weeks this June, customers were given the chance to vote in store and online for the store’s new charity partner, with Battersea Dogs and Cats Home receiving the most votes.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home are a fantastic charity, which aims to never turn away a dog or cat need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. They are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.

Rav Singh, Store manager at Sainsbury’s Nine Elms said: “We’re really excited to be working with Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, supporting such a fantastic cause. Everyone at Nine Elms is looking forward to working together for a successful partnership.”

Marielle Birks, Community Fundraiser, added: “We’re delighted to be named the new Local Charity partner for Sainsbury’s Nine Elms. We’d like to thank everyone who votes for us, becoming the Local Charity partner will make a huge difference to us.”

The Local Charity scheme is now entering its tenth year, with a partnership launch weekend set to take place across Sainsbury’s stores from August 3rd-5th.
